Welcome Prospective Volunteers!

Thank you for considering volunteering with Enabletech.  We can provide you a very rewarding experience!

Volunteer Commitment

Each volunteer must understand that a client's health and well-being may be affected by what a volunteer does, and must therefore pledge to follow the highest standards of his or her profession or trade.

Types of Volunteers

• A Project Volunteer works directly on technology intended for use by a client, and provides advice, training or other services to a client.
   

• An Administrative Volunteer works indirectly in support of the general organization and not directly with clients.  This can include leadership and management, making referrals, doing mailings, organizing meetings, answering phones, raising money, public speaking, writing press releases and newsletter stores, keeping project records, etc.....

How to Donate

Donating Funds, Equipment or In-kind Support

Donations of funds, materials and equipment to Enabletech are tax exempt to the extent provided under the law for 501(c)(3) charitable organizations.

Enabletech is one of the best charitable investments that you can make!  We are all volunteers, most of us in very expensive professions, but no one receives any remuneration.  Neither do we employ any fund raisers or administrators.  We do, however, require funding for office supplies, telephone, Internet and web services, postage, photo and video service, printing and publishing and other typical operating costs.  Our single largest expenditure is for insurance.

The "bottom line" is that the value of our services to our clients is 10 - 20 times the money that it costs us to operate, and this ratio will continue to increase as we build our volunteer base.  This is the opposite of the rate of investment of most charities.  We guarantee to make the most efficient use of your donation.

If you or your company have surplus equipment or materials, or are willing to donate such items as we may apply directly or use to fabricate our assistive devices either on a one time or ongoing basis, please contact us at enabletech@aikenelectric.net to arrange a transaction or partnerships.  Likewise, if your company possesses a unique skill that we might need to complete a project or conduct our business, your help would be greatly appreciated by our organization, the clients and the community.  We have a record of very positive publicity for our participating associates.
